Continuing Professional Development

CPD and Me!

What does CPD stand for?

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program

What Does CPD mean to me?

By participating in this advanced program, you will set yourself apart as a progressive CPCU who is committed to lifelong learning.

How can I get CPD Qualified?

All you have to do is fill out the application here.  As your chapter we will help you keep track of your "points."

What are all the "points" about?

To qualify for CPD status, you must earn 60 points every two years.  Points are awarded for a variety of activities—passing exams or courses, teaching, writing, conducting research, serving in industry organizations, serving as graders or on IIA/AICPCU Exam Review Committees, attending chapter meetings, NLI courses, workshops, and more. The CPD application lists a wide variety of activities with corresponding point values.

Companies can't afford to have gaps in their employees' technical knowledge. Gaps in knowledge equal gaps in performance. In this fast paced and ever changing industry, those gaps need to be filled quickly. read more

Sync 757's goal is to connect you, the region’s young professionals, to the region’s resources—business contacts, museums, things and places you might not know of or have simply forgotten about.  A program of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, Sync757, is a "voice" for emerging leaders.
