CPCU is the premier designation in property-casualty insurance.
FOUNDATION COURSES (15 lessons)
All courses are 15 weeks long and consist of two hours of lecture per week. All courses are contingent upon six registered/paid students per class. Evening courses will be in two hour blocks on one of the following days: Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Location, day, and instructors for evening courses are to be determined. Courses are $200 for tuition and will take place the weeks of February 4th through May 12th. Books and additional study materials are the responsibility of the student.

CPCU 540 Finance for Risk Management and Insurance Professionals—some topics covered: basics of corporate finance, financial statements, sources of financial and non-financial information, and statement analysis

Required materials include the course guide and all necessary textbooks to study for an examination.
The Institutes publish SMART materials which are supplemental study notes and flashcards that many students find to be helpful. They are available for purchase for most courses.
KEIR materials which are supplemental study aids can be purchased to assist in the learning process. The Tidewater Society of CPCU does not guarantee the accuracy of answers contained in the Keir materials.

EXAMINATIONS
CLASSES PREVIOUSLY DESCRIBED PREPARE STUDENTS FOR EXAMS IN THE APRIL 15-JUNE 15 WINDOW
The AICPCU administers examinations in four windows. Any CPCU or IIA exam may be taken in any window. The windows are as follows:
January 15-March 15
April 15-June 15
July 15-September 15
October 15-December 15
